Mozilla has submitted to the Apple App Store its browserless Firefox application. Knowing the Cupertino’s vulnerable heart that easily gets offended with third-party products Mozilla does not offer the browser itself, instead it has built an iPhone version of Firefox Sync, the browser bookmark-syncing service formerly known as Weave. This version is dubbed Firefox Home.

Online games that popularize mafia banned in China

According to the official Xinhua news agency, China has enjoined websites featuring or publicizing online games which glamorize mafia gangs, saying violators will be "severely punished." The Culture Ministry said such games "advocate obscenity, gambling, or violence," and "undermine morality and Chinese traditional culture."

South Korea was bombarded Thursday with third wave of cyberattacks

The third wave of cyberattacks has hit South Korea disrupting and in some cases halting access to government, banking and media Web sites. Meanwhile, earlier suspicions that North Korea may have been behind the disruptions that have hit Web sites in South Korea and the United states in recent days were not confirmed by intelligence officials in Seoul.

In January the number of Internet sites has decreased by 1.23 million


January 2009 research surveyed users of 185,497,213 sites on unusual monthly loss of 1.23 million sites.

Apache's market share has been found out to have grown by more than 1 percentage, and now the site has gained 1.27 million sites this month. 

Consequently, the share of Microsoft IIS has fallen to less than a third of the market making its loss the highest in January. Microsoft-IIS websites expired from the survey after more than 2 million blogging sites running on the site.
