A significant number of Americans will live hand to mouth when retired

No matter their income level, a significant number of U.S. workers are likely to struggle to meet basic expenses during retirement, a new study of baby boomers and "generation Xers" released on Tuesday shows.

Over 40 percent of people with the lowest incomes face prospects of depleted savings within 10 years after retirement, with that number climbing toward 60 percent after another decade, according to Washington-based Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI).

According to The Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative, a new study from market intelligence company H2 found that new projects regulating all forms of Internet gambling in the US would create up to 32,000 jobs over nearest five years.
The release of this study complies with legislation in Congress to regulate Internet gambling, which is led by House Committee Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank .

According to the new study, young boys who receive their first video game system don't progress as quickly in school as boys who don't have such gaming devices. That means, parents who worry about their kids addicted to video games might be right.
The study was published last week in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science.
The average reading and writing scores of the young gamers don't go down, but they don't improve either as study found.

 Retailers are about to embark on the holiday season of the serious bargain hunter. According to NRF’s 2009 Holiday Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, conducted by BIGresearch, U.S. consumers plan to spend an average of $682.74 on holiday-related shopping, a 3.2 percent drop from last year’s $705.01.
