On Thursday PayPal introduced its “Make It Count” campaign, featuring great deals and special offers for budget conscious consumers this back-to-school season. PayPal has also unite its efforts with DonorsChoose.org, the online charity that connects individual “citizen philanthropists” with classrooms in underserved urban and rural public schools, targeting to bolster students in need.

HFC Bank makes it easy for campus students by launching new e-banking service

Targeting to make campus life easier for students, HFC Bank  presented its new e-banking product HFC Transflow, and  the University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi has become its latest beneficiary.  HFC Transflow enables students to  pay their fees and make other payments to the university directly online. Thus student just need to go to any bank branch and make such payments which will immediately reflect on the screens in the accounts department of the universities.

According to the study commissioned by RIDGID, a leading supplier of professional grade tools, only 6% of high school students have plans to have their future career in some trades like plumbers, carpenters, electricians, heating, ventilation or air conditioning installers, or repair people. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the U.S. is likely to need more skilled professionals by 2014 while its number at the moment is reducing due to age aspect.

WSU and U.S. Bank just released the new CougarCard Maxx, that, in addition to allowing students to access their U.S. Bank checking account and purchase goods within the country, can be used to buy from anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted. WSU has become one of only three universities in the United States to offer this program.
