Novell is launching a new technology that will enable Microsoft Xbox 360 games to be translated into iPhone apps. The company is also working at the solution to allow the same for Android phones.
The new iPhone application developed by Novell is an open source derivative of an Indiana Jones games that Microsoft is showing off running on Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox. The game is built on Microsoft's XNA framework, which is based upon its .NET Framework.
As reported by Microsoft its Windows Phone 7 will run XNA 4.0 games, enabling developers of those games to reuse their investment and programming skills for Windows Phone handsets.
In its MonoTouch technology Novell uses XNA and this allows developers to translate .NET applications into native code on the iPhone. The same thing has been done for Android but the solution for Google OS is still in its early stage.
