Visa makes the last preparations to the Olympic Games

Visa, Olympic GamesOn the threshold of the Olympic Games all the companies try to occupy the most fruitful place in the heart of Asian country. Visa is not an exception. In today’s statement the representative of the company has said that they are going to install a network of the ATM kiosks especially for the Olympic Games: "…the artwork on the ATM kiosks has been inspired by Chinese culture and calligraphy. It uses blue and white brush strokes and traditional signature seal designs which are most recognizable on traditional Chinese porcelain vases."

According to the statement Visa is going to install 26 ATMs at competition and non-competition venues1 including the Main Olympic Press Center, International Broadcasting Center (IBC) and the Green Home Media Village. This network will enable the future guests of the capital of the Olympic Games to get an easier access to cash. It is necessary to mention that since 1986 Visa has been an official worldwide sponsor is the only card accepted at all venues of the Olympic Games.

The company has already more than 90,000 ATMs and signed up some 216,000 merchant locations or outlets throughout China.

“We wanted to be able to showcase our partnership with the Games in Beijing in an aesthetically appealing and instantly recognizable way for visitors to the Games. That is why we designed unique ATM kiosks that we believe marry the traditional beauty of Chinese art with modern technology,” said Richard Chang, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Greater China and the Philippines for Visa.
