One of the
largest online payment systems PayPal, owned by eBay has announced creation of
200 new jobs to expand its services in Ireland and Athlone, 150 and 50
accordingly. The online payment processor said that they are looking for people
to work to work in customer service and merchant services. All the candidates
are required to be fluent in English and a second European language.
As of today
more than 1,200 people work for PayPal at its European headquarters in
Blanchardstown, Dublin.
The newly hired employees will join them to provide operational and customer
support in Europe. According to the recent
report last year PayPal received $1 billion profit from its European arm. This figure
can be explained by increase in number of people using PayPal to pay for goods
online.
It is necessary
to say that PayPal increases its European staff for the forth time during 2
years. Initially, 8 years ago the company employed 25 people only to provide support
services in Europe.
