In early European session on Friday, the British pound revealed firmness against its main opponents.

At present, the UK sterling is quoted at 130.13 against the yen and 1.5442 against the US dollar, that may be compared to previous session's lows of 129.69 and 1.5391, respectively.

The pound also edged higher to 0.8308 against the euro and 1.5674 against the Swiss franc around 3:45 am ET, compared to earlier lows of 0.8335 and 1.5591, respectively hit in the Asian session. Currently, the pound is quoted at 1.5666 against the Swiss franc and 0.8309 versus the euro.
