In a move to make the experience for visitors and contributors better and easier, Wikimedia Foundation has accomplished a number of changes of its Wikipedia portal, one of the most popular throughout the world.

The most evident changes are represented by new look and feel, which includes a refreshed puzzle globe logo, which was initially designed in 2003.

The other crucial changes include:

• navigation - the tabs at the top of each page from now more clearly define whether users are viewing the page or discussion page, and whether they are reading or editing a page
• editing improvements - formatting pages is now simpler and more intuitive, with a reorganized editing toolbar
• link wizard- represents a new tool that allows visitors to easily add links to other wiki pages as well as links to external sites
• search improvements
• pediapress book creator- allows users to create a book by selecting Wikipedia articles and adding them to the Book Creator. The succeeded articles will be turned into a PDF or OpenDocument) file. These feature let users easily take Wikipedia wherever.
