The Swiss
currency presented a steep slide against its major rivals on Friday morning in
Asia.
As of 10:00 pm ET Thursday, the franc plummeted to fresh multi-month lows of 82.92 against the yen and 1.0821 versus the US dollar and this may be compared to Thursday's North American session closing values of 83.51 and 1.0671, respectively.
Moving well-off its recently hit fresh 15-month high of 1.4561 against the euro, the franc depreciated around 2 percent to reach a monthly low of 1.4846 around 10:00 pm ET. EUR/CHF pair that was worth 1.4643 at Thursday's North American close is currently quoted at 1.473.
Against the pound, the Swiss franc plummeted to an 8-day low of 1.7055 at this time, down by more than 1.7 percent from previously hit 11-day high of 1.6758 around 8:05 pm ET. GBP/CHF pair, which closed yesterday's deals at 1.6816, is presently quoted at 1.6927.
