eIQnetworks, Inc. today announced that DataCash Group, a payment processing solutions provider, has selected and deployed eIQnetworks SecureVue security and compliance management solution. DataCash chose SecureVue following a competitive review and based on the product’s proven ability to best assist with PCI compliance by going well beyond traditional security information and event management (SIEM) solutions by monitoring, correlating and reporting on data from the broadest range of data sources.
In 2008 the DataCash Group efficiently processed over 175 million transactions to a value of £16 billion, for over 1000 Merchants from sectors including Retail, Travel, eCommerce, Gaming, Finance, Utilities and Government. As part of its customer commitment, DataCash regularly evaluates its deployed technology to best ensure compliance with PCI-DSS.
DataCash selected SecureVue to address their “swivel chair” problem, whereby company personnel manually compared information from multiple systems monitoring various security indicators to prove compliance with PCI rules. Going beyond traditional SIEM and log management products, SecureVue correlates data from the broadest range of data sources in the industry including log and event, configuration, asset, network flow, vulnerability, performance, availability and other security-relevant data from network devices, security devices, servers, applications, and databases.
“eIQnetworks’ understanding of PCI requirements is sound. We were able to deploy SecureVue rapidly, and immediately received reports related to the PCI rules and regulations ready for our audit,” said Neels Pretorius, Head of Operations at DataCash. “We were able to enhance our own methods for PCI compliance by relying on a single tool to monitor our internal operational controls and to take care of log management. The added efficiencies mean our people can focus on delivering even better payment processing solutions to our customers.”
“When you correlate information from more data sources, the security picture one receives is more accurate and false positives are reduced,” said Jon Davies, Region Director - EMEA at eIQnetworks. “The experience at DataCash is not uncommon for eIQnetworks customers. There is a significant need to manage large volumes of log data from a variety of data sources for PCI, HIPAA and ISO regulations, but what is often overlooked is the need to also track Configuration, Asset and other data types from those sources.”
