Wikimedia Foundation announced the availability of its new 'Wikipedia Mobile' application for iPhones which can be downloaded from Apple's App Store for free. The software allows users to quickly and easily access masses of information from their mobile devices.
1.6 MB open-source application is currently little more than a 'wrapper' for the mobile version of the Wikipedia site, which you can just as easily view in Mobile Safari. However, there is still an advantage of the tool. It allows you to keep your search history.
Featuring simplicity and speed the application in principle doesn’t outstand from other already in use. Thus, customers still can select from a dozen of software tools to browse through the Wikipedia’s articles.
