European Commission starts a war against the USA and anti-gambling law
It was reported that the European Commission has found that the legal proceedings of the US authorities against European online gambling companies were unjustified and discriminatory. Moreover it was said that if US agencies do not stop the prosecution and compromise an action they may take the case to the World Trade Organization.

"Internet gambling is a complex and delicate area, and we do not want to dictate how the U.S. should regulate its market. However, the U.S. must respect its WTO obligations," said E.U. Trade Commissioner Catherine Ashton in a statement.

Many European online gambling companies have left the market after change in the law however they still negotiate with the US authorities on the activity they held previously in the country. The Commission is very serious on this issue since those online gambling companies acted on the basis of U.S. WTO commitments. It was also added that the law adopted by the USA should affect only the current market participants and should not influence anyhow the companies that left the market.
