Internet Explorer 8, faster and more secure browser?
Microsoft Corp. announced the availability of Windows Internet Explorer 8. The new Web browser that can be downloaded in 25 languages from the company site from noon EDT on March 19 when compared to other browsers is easier to use, works faster and offers leading-edge security features.

A research commissioned by Microsoft and the National Cyber Security Alliance and conducted by Harris Interactive Inc. showed that currently 91 percent of adults in the U.S. are concerned about online fraud and identity theft, and 78 percent of them are more likely to choose a Web browser with built-in security than they were two years ago. This and a lot of other related information was considered while designing the program. A study released by NSS Labs showed that Internet Explorer 8 blocked two to four times more malware attacks than other existing browsers do.

Moreover, the application is one of the fastest browsers available, its page load time is almost 50 percent of the 25 top comScore Inc. Web sites. Internet Explorer 8 has some other tools which help to save user time, such as Accelerators, which make some Web-based services available for using directly from the page the user is viewing; Web Slices that makes favorite information from Digg, Yahoo! Mail, OneRiot, and eBay instantly available whenever the user goes online; the Instant Search Box, which enables rich, real-time search from The New York Times, Amazon.com, Wikipedia, etc. and from users Favorites and History.

It is expected that Microsoft will showcase the final version of the browser and outline benefits and opportunities it presents for audiences during Microsoft's MIX09 conference for web designers and developers on March 19 in Las Vegas.
