Saga Platinum new credit card research unveiled the fact that cardholders are becoming increasingly aware of how they use their cards during the economic decline. According to this survey, today 16% of people use credit cards to ensure that their purchases are protected. Other recent research revealed that 34% of people are thinking more about savings, in light of increasing day-to-day bills.
Specialist claimed that in case a firm gets bankrupt consumers can be protected by credit card providers for purchases over £100. In Saga's own target market 58% are reacting to the financial difficulty facing many retailers by adopting this cautious approach.
CEO of Saga Group, Andrew Goodsell, considers that the credit crunch has affected people in a number of ways and so they have become more cautious, choosing brands they trust and using credit cards as they provide extra protection in uncertain times.
