On Tuesday First Data and Urban Trust Bank revealed the intention of Urban Trust Bank to provide employers, businesses and consumers with the Money Network payroll card and related prepaid products to enable them to manage better their cash and expenses. Money Network will also allow consumers to avoid over-extending themselves with traditional credit products.

Payroll cards can be used in a variety of merchant locations and reloaded by both consumers and their employers offering security, value and convenience. The cards provide immediate access to funds on payday, without fee or discount, and access to cash at thousands of surcharge-free ATMs across the country. In case cards are lost or stolen they can also be replaced.

Chairman of Urban Trust Bank Holding Inc., Bob Johnson, stated that these cards streamline the payment process for purchases or cash withdrawals so companies can make a strong business case to employers for the use of payroll cards.
