Toyota Motor Europe launches blog to share ideas
Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has announced the launch of its first blog aimed at sharing ideas and stimulating discussions on environmental issues. Along with the Green Design channel on YouTube last year, this project is as part of TME’s “aim: zero emissions” campaign that started in 2003.

Leading blogger of “aim: zero emissions” leading has been announced to be Colin Hensley. Hensley is current General Manager of Corporate Affairs and Planning of TME. Moreover, he will be sharing the thoughts of other executives, technical experts and employees.

It should be remembered that Toyota is a leader in green innovation and hybrid since it had launched Prius, the world’s first mass-produced hybrid vehicle in 1997. The company still considers sustainability to be more than just the reduction of exhaust emissions. Commenting on the launch, Colin said, “At Toyota we believe technological innovation is the key to sustainable development. Ultimately, it’s people who develop and use technology, so the more we share and discuss with our customers, partners, bloggers and environmentalists, the better.”

Some other examples of Toyota’s initiatives could be a revolutionary sugar battery, a solar tower in Spain, a carbon neutral city, regenerative energy, and an eco snowboard.
