Webmasterchecks issuing bulletproof checks?
Checks that are resistant to counterfeit and amount changes will now be issued by Webmasterchecks, a Leading Phoenix-based Check Issuing and Payment Distribution Company. This week the company announced they are upgrading all of their check stock to an innovative style practically impossible to replicate. Internationally Renowned Fraud Consultant Frank W. Abagnale designed the check with 12 security features.

Mike Dantes, Chief Security Officer of Webmasterchecks, notes that all security measures taken on the backend were not enough to prevent fraudulent activity with checks as long as there were cases when the genuine checks were used with the altered amount. Dantes reports that one client came to them after losing $40,000 to check fraud when one of his foreign affiliates washed a $36 check into a $40,000 check. The new features developed by Frank W. Abagnale include a dual-tone watermark, heat-sensitive ink, and chemically reactive paper. Now WMC's multi-layer security and deterrent systems include redundant protection against the check amounts getting altered as well as coordination with the bank on the check details that are permitted to be cashed.

Let us remind you, that Webmasterchecks issues US/EU Checks, ACH direct deposits, wires, ePassporte, and other payment types. WMC integrates with MPA3 and NATS, and is a solution used by financial institutions, merchant account holders, third-party processors, users of 3rd party publisher or affiliate software, affiliate networks, advertising networks, and other web programs.
