Amazon Payments has enhanced customer experience when paying at merchants sites. Now with the upgraded Checkout capability users can make purchases on a merchant's site using their Amazon.com account credentials without leaving the merchant's site. Consumers can now access their Amazon address book and payment methods directly on a merchant's site without being redirected back to Amazon.

VeriFone extends its end-to-end encryption by purchasing Semtek

VeriFone has unveiled its intension to extend its focusing on end-to-end encryption solutions with the purchasing of encryption leader Semtek.
Earlier, VeriFone invested in Semtek’s equity funding.
Such an acquisition enables VeriFone to integrate the development, sales, implementation, and support of end-to-end encryption products into the existing VeriFone organization.
Besides, VeriFone is offering royalty-free software licenses to device manufacturers and payment processors to further spur market adoption.

eBay further bejewels its PayPal service by discarding Google Checkout

According to the latest reports an online auction giant eBay will no longer support Google Checkout payment system starting next July. Users won’t be allowed to use any checkout service except eBay’s own payment processor PayPal.
Explaining the move the company says it wants “to give eBay buyers a consistent, speedy checkout experience and to ensure support for fast-growing sales via mobile platforms...,” Todd Lutwak, eBay’s vice president of the seller experience, wrote in a little-noticed blog post last week.
